Hola from Yucatan, Mexico!
Chichen Itza- “at the mouth of the well of Itza”.
Visiting Chichen Itza was a once in a life time experience that I will never forget! We got a full tour of the ancient Mayan city and it was absolutely incredible to see the beautiful remains and to hear the stories of the Mayan civilization and how they lived. Behind me is the Kukulkan Pyramid also known as El Castillo (the castle), one of the seven wonders of the world. I feel so blessed to have had the privlege to visit such a beautiful site and to learn about another culture. Learning about different cultures is my favorite thing about traveling.
When we arrived at Chichen Itza we could feel the heat immediately when we stepped out of the van, it was 96 degrees! We kept positive and realized the heat was an excuse for us to buy cute hats from the vendors on site. I knew I wanted to wear this adorable cropped off the shoulder top with bell sleeves to Chichen Itza because the color and sleeves screamed pyramid ~vibes~ to me. I chose a denim mini skirt to keep somewhat cool and accesorized with hoop earrings and my new favorite choker, the tassels are so fun! Of course I had my High Key Quay glasses to protect myself from the blazing sun. If you ever come to Chichen Itza I would suggest wearing comfortable shoes because you’ll be walking around a lot. These flat sandals weren’t totally uncomfortable but I think sneakers would’ve been a little better.
I’ve been totally MIA from my blog and Youtube since finals and my trip to Mexico but I’m finally starting to get back into the groove of things. I’ll have my whole recap of my trip to Mexico up soon 🙂
A Whole Lotta Love,
