Happy Friday everyone!
Summer vibes are in full swing which means the heat is REAL. Although Hawaii doesn’t experience much of the seasons, Summer still seems to be more extreme. I don’t let the heat stop me from dressing up. When days are extra hot and humid I look for clothing pieces that are light, breezy, and cropped.
Tie-front tops are everywhere this season. I normally stay away from long sleeve tops because they’re way too hot, but lately I’ve been loving these tops because of their flowy sleeves. It’s all about balance with pieces that show skin. Tie-front tops show some midriff, but the long sleeves don’t show too much skin. I added a lace bralette to slightly peak out from beneath my top. As I’ve mentioned before, I like to layer different textures when wearing black on black. This top had a velvet-y metallic finish which paired well with the black lace.
My style is a mix of simple pieces with trendy, statement pieces. Since my top was bold, I kept the rest of my outfit classic and refined. I thrifted these denim shorts from Goodwill, but I linked a similar pair for you. Blue denim shorts are my go to for the summer. I’ve been loving high waisted shorts with flowy tops like this one.
For shoes I went with my favorite black booties. Black boots don’t exactly scream Summer, but they’re a classic and work well with almost anything. To complete my outfit, I added some gold accents with RayBan aviators and a couple of dainty chokers.
I hope you guys enjoy this post 🙂 I’m working on some exciting things that I can’t wait to share with you all in the next couple of weeks! Thanks for reading xx
