Hello babes!!!

With the holidays right around the corner I’m already plotting out birthday, Christmas eve, Christmas, and New Years eve outfit ideas. Dressing up for holiday parties are an excuse to get extra dolled up, and to have fun with different trends in makeup and fashion. I personally love to go all out because it’s the one time of year it’s socially acceptable to— especially in Hawaii where everyone is so laid back when it comes to dressing up.

I’m totally embracing the lingerie as outerwear trend and think that when done correctly it can be sexy but classy at the same time. An easy way to rock this trend is with mesh! Although it can be a little intimidating with your midriff exposed, the right bra or bralette will give you a total confidence boost. Think of your lace bra as statement accessory that your outfit needs!

My secret to mastering mesh? Keep it subtle and balanced. I stay simple in all black for my mesh top and lace bra but had fun with my accessories wearing power red heels and a leopard clutch. If your family is conservative like mine I would wear something like this to the after party rather than a family dinner LOL. But for the right occasion mesh can be the perfect head turning piece your outfit needs.

I can’t believe that it’s only the first Monday of December and I’m already busy, busy, busy. Lately, school has really been kicking my booty. If it weren’t for the holidays, my birthday, and my best friends coming home from the mainland, I might have given up already.

Blogging has also been an outlet for me during this stressful time. I’m so thankful that I can come to The Hapa Hour, to talk to you guys about things that I’m passionate about. How is your first week of December going for y’all? I have a feeling this month is gonna be a quick one.
