Lately, I’ve been really trying to balance mind, body, soul and overall health. I workout for so many reasons— it clears my mind, reduces stress, and is good for me!
Since I started working out consistently about two years ago I’ve learned what works for me and what doesn’t work for me.
We all have good workouts when we feel like Hulk or those amazing fitness Instagramers but sometimes we have crappy workouts that we can barely get through.
Obviously, I want to increase the good workouts and decrease the bad workouts. When I finish an awesome workout I noticed a factor that seemed to be constant— cute workout clothes.
There are a ton of other factors that go into having a good workout but I strongly believe in the idea of “looking good and feeling good.”
Here’s why looking good makes me feel good at the gym:
- A cute workout outfit always inspires me to get to the gym.
When I’m not so motivated I think about how cute my outfit is lol Any new outfit gets me excited, a workout outfit is no different.
2. Quality outfit leads to quality workout.
There’s nothing I hate more than when I run out of cute workout clothes and am left with old soccer shorts and a beat up t-shirt. When my workout outfit isn’t on point I pray no one sees me at the gym.
It’s the same as having a bomb outfit for a night out with the girls. Having a nice outfit on makes you feel confident. Crisp and clean cut workout clothes get me in the mood to kill it.
3. You’ll feel like a boss walking into the gym.
I definitely am no expert when it comes to working out. I don’t even know how to use half the machines there— guilty.
To keep from embarrassing myself too much I create an illusion that I’m confident about what I’m doing. Wearing actual workout clothes makes it seem like I kinda know what I’m doing.
(When I really don’t)
4. No fussing over your clothes in the middle of your workout.
Name something more annoying than having to constantly adjust your pants while you’re running.
Or having to worry about your leggings being squat proof. (Squat proof= not see through when you squat)
Or your sports bra moving
Being a girl at the gym is so much harder. If you have workout clothes that are cute and functional you don’t have to worry about any of that.
5. Post workout gym selfies.
I know, I know. Over doing the gym selfie can get annoying— we get it, you work out! But when I’m feeling pumped after finishing a tough workout I like to take a selfie to document it.
Because you ~earned it~ girl. **The Weekend voice*
This workout set is from one of my favorite fitness apparel stores, Fabletics. The design and color speak for itself but it’s the actual style and fabric that has me hooked.
The top is so flattering while still keeping everything in place and these leggings are literally one of the thickest leggings I’ve ever worn— 100% squat proof.
Fabletics is a subscription service so I couldn’t find the exact set on their website without having to create an account. So I listed a couple of similar pieces from Fabletics beneath my photos (where I list “Outfit Details”) and a few other pieces that aren’t from Fabletics but I think are just as cute below.
